Privacy Policy
tallybud is built so that we never see your data. This policy explains, plainly, what the app stores, where it goes, and what we (XploreDatum Technologies LLP, the developer) can and cannot access.
The short version
- tallybud has no accounts and no sign-in.
- We do not collect, sell, or share any personal data.
- The app contains no ads, no trackers, and no third-party analytics.
- Your entries live on your iPhone and — if you enable sync — in your own private iCloud. We have no access to either.
What the app stores
Your budget cycles, entries (amount, category, optional note, date), categories, and preferences (currency symbol, theme, cycle start day, and similar settings). That’s all, and all of it stays under your control.
Where it’s stored
On your device. Data is saved in the app’s local storage on your iPhone.
In your iCloud (optional). If iCloud sync is enabled, the same data is stored in your private iCloud key-value storage so it follows you across your devices. This storage belongs to your Apple Account, is governed by Apple’s privacy policy, and is not readable by us. You can turn sync off in Settings at any time.
CSV export
Exporting a cycle to CSV is entirely user-initiated: the file is generated on your device and goes only where you choose to share it.
What we collect
Nothing. The app makes no network requests to our servers — we don’t have servers. Apple may provide us aggregated, anonymized statistics (downloads, crashes) through App Store Connect if you have opted in to sharing analytics with developers in iOS settings; these contain no personal information and are controlled by your iOS privacy settings.
This website
This site is static and sets no cookies and runs no analytics scripts. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process standard request logs (such as IP addresses) to serve and secure the site, per Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app deletes its local data. If you used iCloud sync, you can clear the synced copy by disabling sync in the app’s settings before deleting, or by managing iCloud data in iOS Settings. Since we hold nothing, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
Children
tallybud does not collect data from anyone, including children, and is rated for general audiences.
Changes
If we ever change how tallybud handles data, we will update this page and the effective date above before the change ships.
